The tour starts from New Delhi, India

The entire Finland Arctic tours consist of there main locations starting from Helsinki, the main city. From there you be taking a domestic flight connection to north city of Akaslompolo. Afterwards, you will head towards the famous town of Rovaniemi. Finally, on last day, you will head back to Helsinki to take your final flight connection back to India.

Helsinki and Suomenlinna Sightseeing Tour

Today you have to chance to explore the city of Helsinki along with ferry-excursion to the famous archipelago of Suomenlinnaa Island. Listen to guided commentary while exploring the highlights of Helsinki such as Esplanade Park and the Sibelius Monument. Hop a ferry to Suomenlinna for a walking tour including the Jetty barracks, the Suomenlinna Church, and Kings Gate. The meeting point for start and finish shall happen in Helsinki Center. You will be provided with public transport details with timings for easy navigation to reach at the designated meeting points.

Helsinki - Kittila - Akaslompolo

Take a morning flight to Kittila Airport. After arrival and luggage retrieval, book a taxi directly to hotel from taxi kiosk/counters at arrivals. Relax and enjoy the rest of the day at Hotel.

Akaslompolo (Gandola Ride & Snowshoe adventure)

The best way to explore Arctic nature is by doing "Snowshoe" walk. Here you get the change to witness some breathtaking locations and be able to spend more time with nature. First. You will take Gondola Lift to top of the Ylläs Fell where you can capture some pristine scenic views over the neighboring fells and all the way to Sweden! After a warm sip of refreshing coffee, you along with the guide will walk down along the treeless side of the fell, accompanied by some eye-catching scenery and finally through the snowy gulch and arctic forest.

Day 4

Akaslompolo (Northern Lights & Snowshoe adventure)

Later in the night, when its get dark, we will start for the magical Aurora Borealis (Northern lights) chase. You long with guide will walk through the silent, dark forest to the fireplace where we will stop for a hot drink. The guide will tell facts and stories about the northern lights and if we are lucky, we might see those magnificent lights of the arctic sky. Snowy nature looks totally different in darkness and you can definitely feel the mystic of Lapland.

Day 5

Akaslompolo - Kittila - Rovaneimi

Today, You will head to Rovaniemi. First, you will take a taxi towards Kittila. From there you will be directed via bus which will take you directly to Rovaniemi town. After reaching, You will walk down the hotel and relax the rest of the day. In evening, you can also take out time to explore the small town of Rovaniemi.

Day 6

Rovaniemi (Forest Trail with Reindeer Safari)

The best way to experience the Finnish tradition is explore that era of transportation and you will not find more traditional means than a sleigh being pulled by reindeer. Come to meet these gentle creatures as we take you to a nearby reindeer farm to ride a reindeer-pulled sleigh through the snowy forests. The guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the reindeer farm 25 minutes out of town. You will learn how to ride reindeer sleigh and have a ride for an hour. The herder will explain everything about reindeer’s life and his life while you are having some warm juice (The locals’ favorite in winter) and gingerbread. Afterwards, you will taken back to your hotel.

Day 6

Rovaniemi (Northern Lights)

Today, you will drive away from the city to find the perfect spot that your guide think will give everyone the highest chances of seeing the lights on that night. You will also find a warm spot to sit and wait for the lights to show. The more time you will spend with guide and the group outside the more likely you will be able to see the lights.

Rovaniemi (Private Full-Day Trip to Santa Claus Village)

Today you will Spend time at the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi on this 8-hour private trip from Levi. Here you will travel by private vehicle through rural Lapland to this Santa-themed park, and enjoy the attractions independently. Meet the great man in the Santa Claus Office, send Santa-stamped greetings, and enjoy the elves’ workshops, restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities (own expense). Your experience includes round-trip private transport, hotel pickup and drop-off, and park entrance fees.

Rovaniemi - Helsinki - Delhi

The arctic adventure of Finland finally comes to end. Today you will head to airport via taxi to catch the first flight to Helsinki. There after couple hours of layover, you shall take a return flight back to India.

We provided detailed step by step itineraries with so much information. This gives you better opportunity to have you own private time as compared to group tours. Indian Citizen do need to get Schengen Visa for visiting Finland. We provide visa advise free of cost. We will provide you list of documents which you can easily prepare yourself. For any queries during the process, you can feel free to ask any questions.

The Finnish Lapland in Winter tour requires that you have adequate and valid travel insurance covering medical and personal accidents, including repatriation costs and emergency evacuation. We can also recommend the best insurance company and plan and you can directly purchase online. Alternatively, We can also book it for you for the same cost.

The winter months in Europe are usually quite cold and possibly snowy. Temperatures can drop to freezing or below, and snowfalls are common, especially at higher altitudes. You will need to be prepared to travel in varying temperatures and snow. Extra layers, a warm jacket, hat, gloves and good footwear are a must.

As accommodation on this trip is twin-share, Single travelers have to enquire for the trip cost separately.

Throughout the trip we request that our hotels prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if you are arriving prior to normal check-in time. However this isn't always possible which means you may not be able to check-in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, youn store our luggage and explore our new destination.
