India is one of those developing countries where people fear to travel before even planning a trip here. One of the scariest part are the scams stories other than food or hygiene. But I think scams nowadays are pretty much common everywhere around the world. I mean sometimes I believe, being an Indian benefits myself to be prepare for both good and bad side to experience around the world. I think its always easy to learn a system but difficult to learn a chaos, but when you get the hand on both, you always know whats going to happen out the every situation in your travels.

Being lived in Delhi most of my life and grown up here, I am going to share today some common facts on scams and their possible alternatives to get around easily when you are in New Delhi, India. (and most of it applies everywhere around other cities as well).

Taxi Scams : When you arrive at airport, cross immigration and move towards fetching a cab to your hotel , then random taxi drivers may approach you and ask you where you want to go and offer you a cheap price. Kindly ignore them as they can never be trusted. Secondly, there are pre-paid booths just outside arrivals, although they are pre-paid but usually can be rip-offs. There is indeed an authorized government taxi pre-paid counter but even if you opt for that, the cab conditions are not so great sometimes. So what to do then?..If you are arriving during the day, Uber/ola is definitely the best option. If you are arriving at night, I will definitely recommend asking your hotel to arrange pick-up because anyway its hard to find the right pre-paid taxi counters because unless you are not with a local, you cant really negotiate with them and for tourist, taxi drivers can always play games to fool them around and for solo female travelers, safety is always concern!

Fake travel agents : There are plenty of small travel agent shops you can find across Delhi but most of them are fake or not really authorized. What should you do? Well the best is find the government authorized tourist information center OR best is to book online! Well for flights its easy. For trains, you have to buy a local number because when you go to the train reservation website for making an account it is usually required to send an OTP (one time password) on the registered Indian number. For buses you can use this website. But its always better to travel in train as an alternative to buses! Otherwise, flights are the best to opt for.

Fake Sim Cards : If you go to Sim card shop and they offer you sim cards without asking for your passport and 2 passport size photographs, then its definitely fake! Its better not to use them because you never know for what purpose that number has been used for earlier! Research for Sim card companies authorized centers like Airtel, Vodafone etc. you may visit them to complete your necessary documentation.

Tuk-Tuk Negotiations : Well first of all Tuk-Tuk are called “Auto-Rikshaw” here in India. They are cheap to use when traveling across Delhi. But they can also be rip-off especially when they know you are outsider! Always negotiate! How? well first, if you stop a Tuk-tuk ask them to use registered meters. If they deny or say its not working, then know beforehand how much it would cost -you can fetch the details on this website. Tell them the destination and ask for fare. If they tell you added +10 to +20 Rs max, take the ride, else tell them your last price and if they dont agree then let them go. They will probably agree in the last moment or if not, stop another one and try the same. It will eventually work! (For night charges add another 50-70 Rs maximum to that amount)

Commission agents : Wherever you go, airports, train stations, streets, shopping places, markets etc. there will be people who can approach you or taxi/tuk-tuk drivers who can fool you out telling you the places you are meant to go or wish to go is not the right one or is closed due to some XYZ reasons, and they will take you to the ones where their commissions are fixed. So kindly ignore them, trust your guts, research a bit and find the things yourself. Its always better to ask young people, couples or families around you for help. There are many good people here who will always be willing to offer you help as well!

Well there are many others scams as you travel around the country (like not to give anything to road-side beggars as there is mafia who force them or scams related to bargaining at shops etc) but the one written above are very common ones that you may encounter specially in Delhi when it comes to travel. But would be similar elsewhere in other cities as well. So know them, keep yourself aware and rest be assured, traveling here is not that complicated!

Explore different types of travelers & their experiences!

There are many kinds of travelers out there, each one looking for something different in the quest of happiness. Some visit nice museums, some travel to get some peace of mind at a quiet destination and others travel to get to know a city inside out.

What Kind of Traveler are You?

During long flight journeys I found quite few purloined moments to seek the explanations why we have a tendency to travel and considered all the various types of travelers out there.

According to my own reserach 🙂 and our extensive travel to 40+ countries, it gave us a deep insight meaning to why we travel, and what others seek while traveling.

Why do we Travel?

Do we visit to expand our minds or our Photo Albums?
Do we visit to witness different culture and individuals?
Do we visit nice museums and stand before illustrious items of art to grab pictures to make our friends jealous and flood our FB and Insta Handle ?
Do we travel to remote places, have exciting adventures and get out of our comfort zone
Do we travel for soul seeking or rejuvenation?
Or do we travel to just tick things off or “Bucket List”?

What do you Mean by : “The Traveller”

A traveller I think, enjoys a certain amount of freedom, and spends time moving around place to place slowly, seeking out the hidden, less well-known treasures, avoiding the tourist traps and possibly doing things harder. As a traveller you spend more time in slow motion, resting up and absorbing the vibe of a place.

You pay time chatting with different travelers and locals continuously asking questions; sorting out the simplest means of going to your next destination and asking places to stay, and in every way you are keen to find out how places resonate.

You’ll chat to people over a sunset beer in a quiet courtyard and sleep in a place where the view is sweet. Some friendships will last, others will be fleeting and you’ll remember those people as being put in your life at that time for a particular reason.

“While many of us might answer differently, I can say that at some time or another all of these reasons have rung true for me.

What quite somebody are you and the way does one match into the below?”

Urban traveller

You love everything concerning town life: design, culture and arts, restaurants and bars, shopping..You enjoy roaming the streets, exploring one district after the other, observing locals and tourists alike and just immersing yourself in the city’s dynamic rhythm.

The Photographers

These are the type of travelers who travel around the year and taking panoramic and mind blogging pictures around them. They travel to capture the natural beauty and Instagram them to create beautiful stories.

Relaxation and Nature Lover traveller

Whether it’s on the beach, at the pool or in a lush park, you love to unwind and take yourself away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

Sleeping in, sipping cocktails, reading a good book and unrushed dinners are your idea of a perfect getaway.

Translucent lakes, impressive mountains, enchanting forests or quiet beaches: this is what you look for in your perfect destination.You like to pay your days taking nature walks, exploring the countryside or just relaxing in the great outdoors.

Food traveller

Local cuisine plays a big part in the decision-making process when you’re planning a getaway.

Of course, the destination matters, however what you’re extremely trying forward to is breakfast, tasty lunch or dinner with native ingredients.

The Backpackers and Adventure Travellers

Backpackers are the kind of travelers who love to explore different destinations and prefer independent travelling with low budget. However, adventure travelers are those who love going on trips and vacations to natural environments or remote locations with the particular purpose of active physical activities and exploring new experiences.

You opt for destinations off the crushed path and trending cities.

Rather than to a country’s preferred destination, you like to explore a city that is often overlooked and feel amazed that a place so special hasn’t been discovered yet by the crowds.

Family traveller

The location wherever you vacation doesn’t matter the maximum amount as having the entire family along in one place. Whether it’s outside fun – assume parks, playgrounds and theme parks – or family-friendly activities within, your vacation focuses on what you’re feeling is that the most vital thing: your family.

The Soul Searchers

These are travelers whose prime objective is to travel around to find themselves and to ponder the deepest philosophies of life. The soul searchers typically travel alone in search of their soul and usually schedule spots where they can spend time staring over the cliffs or taking long strolls or lonely walking through the woods.

The Typical Tourist 🙂 (Easy to find, Now-days Buzzing on Every Travel Group Forums)

As a tourist you stay in lovely hotels and you tick things off but don’t really experience the essence of a place – it’s a ‘Touch and Go’ experience of the most basic kind. A whisper of reality and then you retreat to your luxury hotel.

You get to the tourist attraction, walk around, take the photo and tick it off. You might talk about the destination at a dinner party afterwards in the way of … “Oh yes, we’ve been to Venice. It was amazing. I loved it! “

The food you eat will be good, because well, you’re only there for a short while so you can afford to splurge for a couple of days before you hit back to home. 😀

And there you have it!

Some folks may match singularly into one class, some folks may see version of themselves in many classes.

2-Days In Edinburgh: A complete Guide

Read a 2-day travel guide for traveling in Edinburgh, UK.

Fascinating history, baggage of culture, attractive views, delicious food and drink – capital is one in every of those cities with a small amount of everything and my first-timer’s guide to capital has everything you must see and do throughout your initial visit.The Scottish capital is simply detonating with charm and it’s manageable size makes it the right weekend town break destination.

Edinburgh is one in every of my favorite cities within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and was an apparent addition to my excellent 2 week itinerary of the united kingdom. I’ve put together a detailed overview of my favorite pastimes in Edinburgh. We think 2 days may be a large amount of your time to pay in capital – maybe as a weekend break, or as part of a longer trip exploring the UK and Scotland.

Of course, you may pay far more time attending to understand the town, however 2 days will definitely allow you to see several of the highlights of capital

A 2-Day Edinburgh Itinerary

This itinerary is ordered on fairly logical, with 2 full days of exploration within the town, covering a number of the most attractions.There’s lots more to see and do in the city of course, so check out the resources at the end of the post to help you plan your perfect trip to Edinburgh! 🙂

Day One

1. Explore Edinburgh Castle

We’re about to begin our 2 day Edinburgh itinerary with a visit to the beautiful Edinburgh Castle, which perches fantastically above the city, and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the city and surrounds.

The castle is home to a variety of exhibitions and artefacts from Scottish history, including the Scottish crown jewels. The castle is also where the 1pm gun is fired every day, so if you do have a chance to be there for this then do, as it’s quite an experience.

2. Go Whisky Tasting

Scotland and Whisky are intractably linked.

Scottish strong drink is my favorite spirit, and whenever I’m in capital I’ll forever notice time for a drop.

You can do this of course just by popping into pretty much any pub in the city, but if you want to learn about the process of making whisky, as well as the various regions of Scotland and the flavours available, then the Scotch Whisky Experience is where you need to head.
Here you’ll journey through the Whisky creation process, as well as learn about why Whisky from different parts of Scotland tastes different. Finally, you’ll be given the opportunity to taste one of four whisky flavours, before taking a look at the largest Scotch Whisky collection in the world. You can book your tickets in advance here.

3. Drop in at St. Giles’ Cathedral

Also on the Royal Mile, about a third of the way down from the castle, is St Giles’ Cathedral. Both the interior and exterior of the cathedral are stunning, but the highlight in my mind is the little Thistle Chapel, home to the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.

The Order still exists today, and is overseen by the current British Queen, Elizabeth II.

All that aside, the Thistle Chapel is just gorgeous, stuffed full of lovely wooden panelling, and very much worth taking a little bit of time to see, as is the rest of the Cathedral.

4. Walk Edinburgh’s Royal Mile

5. Visit the Free Museums in Edinburgh on the Royal Mile

Since you’re on the Royal Miles, you should definitely take advantage of the many free museums that you can find along it’s length. Some of our favourites include the Edinburgh Museum, the Writers Museum and the Museum of Childhood.

6. Climb Calton Hill

Towards the end of the day, I’d suggest you head up Calton Hill.

This is a beautiful spot for a read of town and might be found at the east finish of Princes Street. This hill is home to a series of monuments, including the National Monument of Scotland, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Parthenon in Greece. Which makes sense, because that’s what it was modeled on. Up on the Hill you may additionally notice Nelson’s Monument and also the Royal Observatory.

From here you can watch the sun set across the city, with the mountains in the background, which is ample reward for the effort required to climb up.

Day Two

7. Visit Holyrood Palace

At the alternative finish of the Royal Mile from capital Castle is Holyrood Palace, that is wherever we’re about to begin the second day of our 2 day capital itinerary. Holyrood Palace is that the official residence of a people monarch in Scotland. Although the Queen herself only spends a week in a year here – most of her time in Scotland is spent up at Balmoral.

When the Queen isn’t here, the Palace is employed for visiting dignitaries, different members of the royal house, and in fact, as a traveller attraction, being open daily. It’s worth checking however that there isn’t someone of importance staying, as the palace closes to visitors when fulfilling its main role as an official residence.

8. Visit Dynamic Earth

If you like fun, interactive science museums, then Dynamic Earth is a must-visit. Right next to the Scottish Parliament building and underneath the stunning backdrop of the Crags and Arthur’s Seat, Dynamic Earth tells the story of the history of the Earth.

We really feel it has something for everyone. From a time machine ride into the past, to a spaceship simulation that takes you right to the Big Bang itself, this is an educational and fun experience that we think is fun for the whole family.

9. Hike Arthur’s Seat

One of my favourite things about Edinburgh, other than how magnificently walk-able the city centre is, is that just a stones throw from Holyrood Palace, the Parliament Building and Dynamic Earth is the ancient volcano of Arthur’s Seat, part of the 640-acre Holyrood Park.

This 251 metre high peak offers spectacular views of the city and surrounds, as well as nice hiking, sunset and sunrise views, and the walk is easily manageable right from the city centre.

10. Follow in JK Rowling’s footsteps

For Harry Potter fans, Edinburgh’s a touch of a pilgrim’s journey website – it’s wherever author JK Rowling lived and is jam-packed with places that galvanized her.There’s Victoria Street that became Diagon Alley and also the Hogwarts-style martyr Heriot’s college.Some of the names on the graves in Greyfriars Kirkyard may look acquainted too.

You can also stop off for a drink in The Elephant House Café and Spoon Café where she wrote parts of the books.

When to Visit Edinburgh

Like much of the UK, Edinburgh has variable weather, so you need to be prepared for everything from rain to sunshine. Layered clothing is the key to a successful trip.

Be aware that being fairly northerly, Edinburgh has generally cooler weather than the southern cities in England, although it does rain less than Glasgow. There’s not really a bad time to visit Edinburgh as there is so much going on throughout the year, but if you prefer better weather and longer days to explore by daylight, then visiting in the summer months is preferable.

Of course, visiting outside of those months can mean it’s quieter, but avoid August as accommodation because it may be more pricey due to festivals going on.

Getting to and from Edinburgh

Edinburgh is very easy to get to. Flights operate to Edinburgh airport, both nationally and internationally, and the airport itself is around six miles outside the city centre, and easily reached by airport bus or with a taxi service like Uber.

The terminal in Edinburgh has quick rail services to London (around four and a half hours), and is magnificently located directly underneath the castle.Emerging from the rail station and being confronted by the beauty of Edinburgh for the first time is something you’ll never forget.

You can additionally drive to Edinburgh. Parking is feasible within the center, and a car will let you get to attractions outside of the city, but isn’t generally needed for day to day sightseeing as Edinburgh is very compact.

Where to Stay in Edinburgh

Edinburgh encompasses a big selection of accommodation choices from hostels to mid-range hotels to luxury properties. We’d advise finding a city centre hotel, that way you’ll be able to walk to all the attractions in this list and save on taxis or public transport fares.

In this post we share our to-do things which are not to be missed in Amsterdam and it helps you to plan your perfect Amsterdam 2-day itinerary.After you visit the main museums, you get to stroll the canals and parks, take your pick from trendy restaurants, and simply enjoy this European experience.

About Our Amsterdam Experiences

We have been to Amsterdam thrice, in 2015, 2017 and 2018. Our first visit to Amsterdam was perfect. It was late April, the skies were sunny, the tulips were blooming, and strolling along the canals was magical. it has a special place in our hearts.

Amsterdam was even better the second time around. This time, it was early April, it was more crowded and a little chillier, but we loved every minute we spent in Amsterdam. On our second visit, we skipped the museums and spent most of our time wandering the canals, trying new restaurants, and just enjoying Amsterdam.

On this Amsterdam itinerary, I combined the best of our experiences so you can have the perfect two days in Amsterdam and thoughts about where to stay also.

We hope you fall in love with Amsterdam like we did!

Two days in Amsterdam: Where to stay?

1. Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre

A 4 star Luxury Hotel which has amazing river view rooms and just 10 min walk to the city center It offers spacious rooms with free wi-fi, a minibar, satellite TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

2. Pillows Anna van den Vondel Amsterdam

Located next to the Vondelpark, the hotel has rooms some with a private terrace or French balcony.The hotels is conveniently located close to the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum.

3. Hotel The Exchange

Situated next to Dam sq. this edifice offers from one star to five star rooms each unambiguously adorned by students of the style college and Dutch designers.

4. Art’otel Amsterdam

Located in the heart of the city close to the Central station, this boutique hotel offers modern rooms that feature art work by Atelier Van Lieshout.

Amsterdam Day-1

1. Van Gogh Museum

5. Red Light District

5. Kalverstraat

A bustling shopping attraction in Amsterdam, Kalverstraat is a 750-meter road that lures crowds of people to make it the city’s most commercial street.Major brands will have at least one store here, and you’ll additionally notice boutiques, malls, shoe outlets and memento stores.

Near the end of the street is Kalvertoren Building, a historic building turned modern mall occupying three levels. Budapest is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities and is ideal for those who want to relax at high-class spas, enjoy the Hungarian cuisine, shop and live luxuriously without having to spend a fortune.

Budapest is a city that is very close to my heart, partly because I have family, friends and a part of my life span as I was residing there in Hungary. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Hungary’s largest city when we got a chance to live there for a longer while for work.

How Much To Budget For Visiting Budapest

Budapest is a very economically fair destination for budget traveler
We recommend budgeting €17-40/day if you’re on a backpacker’s budget — you can easily spend more and you might be able to spend less, but this is a good range for planning purposes.

How Long To Visit Budapest: 3-5 Days

Want to hit the highlights? We recommend a minimum of three days. Don’t want to feel rushed? Try to stretch your travel plans: four or five days. Although I had plenty of good times in Budapest and neighbourhood ,nearby cities and specially my favourite lake Balaton for every weekend as I was living there for couple of months.

The Good And Not-So-Good Things About Budapest:

The Good

Castle Hill and Architecture. You’ll love walking the streets while you’re admiring Budapest’s Art Noveau and other style buildings.
Danube River. The banks of the Danube are amazing, so it’s a joy to take a stroll along the Danube (especially at night when everything is lit up).
The Thermal Baths. Budapest is world famous for their thermal baths and they’ve been attracting visitors since the Roman times. They’re still a popular buy for both tourists and locals alike.
Nightlife. Budapest Loves parties. It’s a party city- especially for the unique Ruin Bars

The Not-So-Good

The Language Ain’t Easy. Hungarian is a tough language and while the alphabet looks similar to English, the letters are pronounced much differently
Crooked Taxi Drivers. Always use certified taxis and insist they use the meter.
Scams and Pickpockets. There are a couple of common scams popular in Budapest. And of course, there are the usual pickpockets that you have to take care of.

Budapest’s Must-See Sights And Attractions

1. Danube Promenade

The banks of the Danube river are amazing and gives you a serene walk, so you should spend some time visiting the Danube Promenade. It’s also a great place to see many of Budapest’s best sights. Don’t miss the opportunity to Sail the Danube.

2. Castle Hill

Rested above the city, Castle Hill is a must-visit neighborhood of Budapest. Some of the buildings date back to 14th and 15th centuries. Set aside a day to discover its winding cobble stone streets. The area also hosts many of Budapest’s top attractions like Trinity Square, Matthias Church (Mátyás templom), Fishermen’s Bastion (Halászbástya), and Buda Castle.

3. Buda Castle Hill Funicular

This funicular, which first opened in 1870, is the second oldest funicular of it type in the world. A system of weights and counterweights is used to help to raise the carriages up and down the hill.The funicular is the swift and rapid way to get to the top of Castle Hill, and is exceedingly popular because of its panoramic views out across the Danube.

4. Great Market Hall

This massive indoor market is a huge hub for fruits, vegetables, prepared foods, and random souvenirs. The prices are a lot higher than what you’d find over on the Buda side of the city. However, it’s a nice place to go for rush bites and to look at the architecture of the hall.

5. House of Terror

The House of Terror is a museum which reflects Budapest’s time under Nazi and communist rule — specially it focuses of the secret police of both parties. It’s housed in the secret police’s former headquarters. It’s a very interesting museum and it’s one of the cities most visited attractions.

6. Hungarian Parliament

This iconic building is the largest building in Hungary and it’s the third largest parliament in the world. It’s a treat to admire from the outside but you can also admire the inside by taking one of the daily tours (in English) for around €12.42.

7. Margaret Park

A famous city Park, away from the busiest Budapest downtown, is a very peaceful green hideaway where people of Budapest go to escape the city. In this huge spread park, you’ll will find a small zoo, medieval runs, swimming pools, playgrounds, a water park, a rose garden, two musical fountains, open air theatre, cinema and some great clubs.

8. Heroes’ Square

The largest square in Hungary. It also designates the mark of the entrance of City Park so you’re sure to come across this monument.

9. Saint Stephen’s Basilica (St. István’s Basilica)

Saint Stephen’s Basilica is the largest church in Budapest and it also contains St. Stephen’s mummified right hand. The more impressive thing about this church: are the views from the top of the church as it also offers the highest 360-degree views of the city.

10. Ecseri Flea Market

This is one of the biggest flea markets in Central Europe and it sells just about everything you can imagine. It’s a best place to pick up a unique souvenir for way back home. It is about 40 minutes outside the city but it is easily accessible via public transportation.

11. Shoes On The Danube

I was touched with a very moving memorial while walking along the Danube promenade. The shoes on the Danube banks tell the war story of the many jews who, during 1944-1945, were forced to strip naked on the banks of the Danube and face the river. A firing squad then shot the prisoners in the back so that they fell into the river to be washed away.

The shoes are a tribute to all those who lost their lives, but also a sad reminder of a very dark time.

12. Thermal Baths

Budapest is known for its natural thermal pool baths — in fact, even the Romans enjoyed the city’s thermal baths. Some say the thermal springs which fill these baths have healing powers. They are relaxing for sure — which is why you’ll find people of all ages enjoying these warm waters.

Budapest has a handful of different thermal bathhouses — some are barebones and others are quite opulent. Most all have multiple small pools, each with different temperature water (some can be quite hot so be careful).

The two most famous thermal baths in budapest are SZÉCHENYI SPA are GELLÉRT SPA.

Széchenyi, is probably the most popular and it’s a beautiful neo-baroque bath complex that consists of 11 medicinal pools and eight swimming pools. It’s also one of the largest spas in Europe. A ticket (including a cabin or locker) will cost around €13-€17.

Gellért is another popular option. Built in 1918, this opulent thermal bath complex features four thermal-medicinal pools, six other indoor pools, and two outdoor pools. Expect to pay around €17 for entrance and a cabin or locker rental.

Budapest Nightlife and Drinking

Budapest has that great combination of being a large youthful city that also has plenty of cheap alcohol-one of its famous and to be tried is Palinka and lots of large, cheap buildings — which is why this is one of the best cities to enjoy nightlife

Budapest is most famous for its Ruin Pubs. which are exactly what they sound like — pubs built in abandoned/ruined buildings. after WWII many of buildings in the neighborhood were destroyed. Years later people moved into (i.e. squatted) these buildings and turned them into secret underground pubs and bars. Many of these bars still exist and they each have their own vibe. The three main ruin pubs are Szimpla Kert, Instant and Fogas Ház

Traveling Around Budapest

Budapest has a good network of transportation via trams, buses, and subways. They’re all affordable but be sure you always validate your ticket because they do check tickets often (you don’t want to get fined —which is €27-€53).

Download the Smart City Public Transportation app for your smartphone as it gives you offline maps/routes for all the public trans in Budapest.

Single Ticket: 350 HUF (€1.15)

Book of 10 Single Tickets: 3,000 HUF (€10)

One of my recent article last month grabbed a feature in the internationally acclaimed “Backpackers Magazine“. It felt like a great moment and I am happy to write and share my stories with the world out there! Travel writing is actually fun don’t you think? To write about our experiences, to depict our moments with various pictures we take along the journey and to simply guide other people along the way.

The article is about my experience of staying in the Wombat’s Hostel in Munich. I was doing a summer road trip in Germany, France and Italy earlier this year and Munich was my starting point. The hostel was situated exactly in the city centre and I was really amazed with architectural design and friendly calm soothing spaces it had to offer. I took some time out to capture the some shots and pictures around the hostel and decided to write an article about it.

I love airports! …Well, but this is not applicable to every other person who is stranded for long layovers, finding a place to fit and sleep off the night. And sometimes you tend to find a bench or recliner but eventually you are woken up one of the security staff and then you have to wander again with your shady eyes wondering can I really afford a good sleep today!

Its true that you cant really bet on every airport for your sleepover, but there are and always exist some airports where you can really plan you sleepover trips with free mind! Below is the list of the famous one which exist in Asia:

01. Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore changi is one of the huge airports consisting of three terminals (1,2 &3) all of which are interconnected with each other. Its is one those modern airports where entertainments is literally free for the visitors, which means, you can watch movies in theaters, explore there beautiful gardens and greenery or hover around the never ending shopping mall and shops. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited so you dont need to worry about burning your data as well!

Prominent sleeping options:

You can easily locate a lot of resting zones or snooze lounges, where they have provided reclining seats. Nevertheless, there are decent amount of benches, chairs and lounge areas which are good enough for taking a night sleep.
In each terminal, there are transit hotels available, so if you can shed some money from your pocket, then hotels can also be the another great alternative.

02. Seoul Incheon Airport

Seoul Incheon is also one of the largest airports in Asia. One can easily find good English speaking staff here and the airports itself have plenty of sleeping space and different activities to get involved in. Being one of the busiest airports, lot of travelers use this as their sleeping base and even bring along their pillows and blankets! As far as entertainment is concerned, they have golf courses, casinos, various gardens, museums and culture centers and even free tours to opt for!

Prominent sleeping options:

There are relaxation lounges for travelers. Other than that, one can easily find recliner chairs, massage chairs and seating throughout is decent, fine and comfortable.
Transit hotels and lounges are located inside the airports for all those people who can afford!

03. Tokyo Haneda Airport

The Airport has three terminals with two domestic (T1 and T2) and one international and all connected by a underground walkway. The airport has many facilities with convenience stores, shops and modern friendly areas for sleeping and the staff there are usually co-operative for tourist sleeping overnight. Most of the eating joints all available 24-hours so one really don’t need crave for hunger pans in the middle of night. In addition, the airports itself have huge markets spaces available and one can really enjoy their time exploring those places itself. and yes, they also have free Wi-fi with mobile charging spots, so no worries burning your data!

Prominent sleeping options:

There are sleep cabins inside the airport where you have a sound night sleep. Besides that, they are good amount comfortable couches and armrests where you can lay down and relax.
They have an interconnected hotel inside the airport and some of them are located not far away. There are best suitable for affordable travelers.

For the people like myself, who really love traveling to distant locations, long hauls sleepover at airports can really save a lot on your pocket and at the same time you get to travel the world. But having a general awareness of which are the best airports suitable for your needs, you can really make your journey pretty easy and comfortable!

How much traveling have you done in your life?

This is one of the questions I always ask every second person I met in my life. There are lot of facts one can easily find on internet or in various articles about how many people understand the meaning of travel but for me it always important to know from someone whom you meet in your everyday life. So what do you think how much traveling people actually do in their life?

Well to my surprise, almost more than 90% percent of the people I met have hardly done any traveling. Why? Because either they believe they don’t have enough time for it or otherwise they simply cant afford enough money to do any traveling. Travel for them was simply a luxury or merely unwanted use of time. And when they really get time lets say once in year or two, to plan a vacation, they presume traveling to be as a black & white picture! What it means, that for them to travel, it has to be perfect scenario with best accommodations, best airlines, per-designed itineraries etc. and for that they usually pick any tour operator and opt for available group tours. I called it as a white side thinking. The black side would be opposite of it which means a totally low cost budget tour . For such people there is no grey area present for them. And they live with this mindset throughout their life.

What do you think how do these people find their happiness then? well the easiest answer would be shopping, movies, clubs, home decorations, beauty salons, spas …list can be really long or they would find their passion in boosting about high end luxury cars or their hoards of investments.

Lets talk about another 10%. These are the people who find their ways to travel from all the varying circumstances of their life. These people usually look life from that grey area where the travel part does not means to be a unique or expensive experience which only certain people can afford. But what led to these 10% help to change their outlook of seeing the life of travel?

When I started to travel couple of years back, I thought for that moment I was doing something out of the ordinary and unique. But when I went to new destinations and met new people, I realized travel is the most down-to-earth experience one can experience in their life. You will tend to see and meet people from all age groups and ethnic religion who are just traveling to experience the life on the other side. Every country or city has its own life and to experience that life in the form of buildings, nature, food, people was just life-changing in-itself. This very realization helped me changed my outlook to believe that traveling can be a part of living your life.

As far as money is concerned, its all about setting your priorities and changing the mindset. Spending less on materialistic approach and saving more for your travels, if you truly desire to travel, you will find your way out accordingly. There is no rocket science behind it. It simple willingness to pursue your travel dreams.

Our life as it says is a very small part of the whole universe merely a stardust. The future is always unpredictable, even though you try to work hard and save more today, you can never be sure in the face of nature how long you will live or how your life will actually turn up. Our life is really short, you only have chance to live once, so the question is, do you really want to live the same old usual life which you are living now and want to pursue a life full of amazing experiences!!

How To Track The Cheapest Airline Fares?

Well as the questions says itself, it’s one of the common thoughts which would have flown to everyone’s mind sooner or later the very next moment they think about traveling abroad. Most of the time when you even google out and try to find solutions, you mostly stuck on to few articles explaining how to book 3-6 months in advance or switch to low-cost flight carrier options. But its not where the road ends!

But, Today, I will help you explain some flight booking ideas which you can easily adapt before planning a trip to a new country! It might take some part of your time, but it’s well worth the shot in the end!

Periodically Research Flight deals online for promotional fares: This is the one of the trick I have literally learned from my own experience and it really works. There are some websites on internet for searching flight tickets where they provide options to rigorously search for destinations all over the world based on either exact dates OR months OR even anytime of the year and by using them one can easily track all the promotional fares which airlines are mostly offering during that time of the year in advance. Confused? OK I will share below my favorite two websites which I often used for my own travel.

a) Skyscanner.com:

If you click on the skyscanner link above, It will directly take you to the website page where it will show you a map similar to image shown above. What it does, it automatically detect your current destination where you shall be flying from (alternatively you can also edit it yourself if you want to start from different one) and in the next tab it will ask for the exact month when you are planning to make your trip. Once the departing location and departing month is selected, the website will process all the best price options for all the countries and cities all over the world where you would like to travel. The green Dot shows you the direct flights and red dot shows you with transit layovers. On the top left tab there is also price option, where you can select the exact price range of your budget. This way, in one glance, you can easily have a look of all the options available for you in that very month! The best things about skyscanner is that it also process even the combination of low cost flight carrier options, so this way, if you can comprise to fly using low cost airlines, then looking options here could be a good deal for you!

b) Kayak.com:

This is the other best alternative option similar to skyscanner but there is a small twist in comparison to skyscanner which can be good for some people. How? well what Kayak does it rather than asking for only exact month, it also has the option for selecting any month of the year, which means, you can practically search for fares all over the world at any time of the year. And similarly (like skyscanner map), you can also filter the price options as per your budget. Another important aspect of using kayak map is that, once you click on any fares for details, unlike skyscanner, it will also reflect the name of the airlines. But you might wonder how does it matter to us? well sometimes it does, you may don’t want to fly through airlines such Aeroflot, Saudi etc who generally provide mouth watering lower fares but when it comes to basic comfort, they lack in the flight ratings.

Track Open-Jaw flights using Google ITA-Matrix: This is the second best trick for searching cheapest flight options. But let me explain what Open-jaw means. When you want to enter one destination or country and wish to exist from another one, the open-jaw tickets comes in handy!

Once you go to the Google Ita matrix website, it will show a similar search page above. Here in the destination option, first you enter to specific destination airport code which shall be you first preference to travel. Thereafter, next to it, you will see an option called “Nearby”. As you click, it will drop down options of all the nearby airport codes within the mile radius of your destination. Depending on your flexibility, you can select upto 2000 miles radius. For departing dates, you have both the options for selecting exacts dates OR plus-minus 2 OR specific calendar months. Even if you go further down, you shall find many other filters from selecting the number of stops, currency and even the sales city from which you would like make the purchase. Once you pr-set all your search options and shoot the search the button – Voila! Here comes the magic! The website will process all the Towards and Return flight from all the airport codes within that mile radius you have selected and will show you mixed open-jaw options of return tickets for your departed location which in my experience has been fairly competitive! In addition, this website also filters out all the low-cost carrier while searching, so this way, you will only find the flights here which are already at par in the flight rating index. However, only downside with this website is that it wont give you option to directly book from their websites but the fares shown in this website can be mostly found any other travel booking website as well! I have used it many times and would definitely recommend to give it a try!

Search long-leg flights by mixing normal OR low-cost carriers: Lastly, this is third best trick I always recommend to people who are really on a very low budget and flexible to opt flying options from low-cost carriers. But you might wonder, low-cost carrier flying network varies in different continents, how can we actually combine them to suit our budget? Well the answer is YES you can! And for this, I have always used the website called “Kiwi.com”.

The interface of kiwi.com is mostly similar to that of kayak or Skyscanner but the only best things which makes it unique is the flexibility and possibility to combines all the normal and even lowest prices flight carrier all around the world. For a long leg flight, the website will try to break it further into 3 or 4 or even more stops to process the cheapest option one could find. But Obviously, the only downside in this can be long layovers, less baggage allowances & more transit stops so more time. But for backpackers or students, this could be the best shot for traveling the world on lowest fares.

Conclusively, all the above tricks for tracking flights fares on lowest budget are the one which I have already used in my experience. Although, there are many more options to look over internet when it comes to booking flights, but as per my knowledge, the one provided in this blog-post are the best rock-solid options one could ever find. Are You Scared To Travel Abroad?

Sounds too silly to say that? Well it’s not that easy for most of the people out there. For the one who has never travel, they always live with the misconceptions and the anxiety and fears that engulfs their mind all the time. The main obstacle is the panic and anxiety which over rules our mind and bombard us with numerous questions such as:

How can I afford to travel abroad?
Even if I could, how would I travel alone?
Even If I decide that, what If I may get lost on the way?
What if I fell into a scam and become lost and stranded in a new country?
What If I am stopped at Immigration for scrutiny and I have no experience to tackle?
What if I lost my passport in the new country, how would I come back?
What if I fall sick and how would I take care of myself?

The list goes on and it will never stop. Why? Because some people are born with fear and anxiety issues. To some it might look funny, but for other it’s the hard fact of life. But again the real question is, can you really find the courage to overcome them?

I remember, when I had the first opportunity to travel abroad alone, I was too scared to even think about it. On one hand I was too excited with idea of traveling to a new country for the first time in my life, but on the other I was dealing with my own anxiety and fears that I was anticipating beforehand and was find hard time to deal with it. I was unaware of the fact that I was feeding my own fears everyday thinking about the things which didn’t even happened yet. But, since I was determined to accomplish this opportunity, I decided to use my anxiety and find the answers of the questions which letting my down.

So, I Finally sat down one day with a piece of paper and pen, and wrote down all the questions or problems which came to my mind. After I was done with this exercise, I picked all these questions one by one, and started to think the counter-effective measures I could take to avoid such problems. So I started googling all these questions on internet in my spare time and that is where my actual preparation for my journey started. In the process, I hop on to many travel forums, wrote up questions to the locals of that country and the fellow travelers there, who came up with their own ideas to help me out with the situation. I felt that as if it was a whole new world altogether and for a moment I realized I never had to feel alone on my travel adventure.

One of the example I recall, when I fall sick in my first trip abroad, I was pretty scared. Even though I bought some medicines from back home country, I was finding hard to recover. I thought that the pharmacy won’t provide any medication without prescription and it would be expensive as well as difficult to find a doctor in this new destination. So I went to one of the travel forums, and wrote to down a question of the exact situation I was facing. To my surprise, within few minutes only I received 3-4 replies from different people with all the exact solutions I have been waiting for. One of them told me to go the nearest Pharmacy and try explaining him/her the symptoms I have been facing. They told me that either they would provide me with right “Over the Counter” medication which are allowed to in their country and if not, they would themselves try to help me out for Doctor on call, ambulance etc. So I gave a shot, and I was fortunate enough to recover with the “Over the counter” medication I have received.

So in similar manner, this is how I learned to overcome the fears and anxiety of traveling abroad to new country. And sometimes, there will always be naysayers, shedding all the negativity in your way such as these exercise can be waste of time or it might not a productive approach to follow in your life…etc… But the real deal is, these type of over confident people are sometimes in-capable themselves to deal with such situation.

The bottom line is – It’s okay to be scared when it comes to traveling abroad, but the moment you start taking baby-steps to solve your fears, there would be no stopping for you ever!! 🙂
